was so depressed that she decided to end her life by throwing herself into the Thames. She went to Tower Bridge and was about to leap into the frigid water when a handsome young sailor saw her tottering on the rail, crying. He took pity on her and said,

"Look, you have so much to live for. I'm off to America in the
morning, and if you like, I can stow you away on my ship. I'll take good care of you and bring you food every day."

Moving closer, he slipped his arm around her shoulder and added,

"I'll keep you happy, and you'll keep me happy."

The girl nodded yes. After all, what did she have to lose?
Perhaps a fresh start in America would give her life new meaning. That night, the sailor brought her aboard and hid her in a lifeboat. From then on, every night he brought her three sandwiches and a piece of fruit, and they made passionate love until dawn. Three weeks later, during a routine inspection, she was discovered by the captain.

"What are you doing here?" the captain asked.
"I have an arrangement with one of the sailors," she explained.
"I get food and a trip to America , and he's screwing me."

He certainly is," the captain said.

No i'm not because although the cold is leaving something much worse has arrived. on the winds of spring comes THE CURSE!<img src="/img/smilies/graymad.gif" alt=">:-(" class="middle" border="0">
I am of course talking about HAYFEVER. Why on earth did the human race evolve so that a large selction of them are allergic to pollen, a substance which is all over the place in spring time while the plants have sex (outdoors! in public! how dare they?).

Maybe i've got it wrong, maybe the human race didn't evolve to have hayfever. Maybe it's a man-made disease created by <img src="/img/smilies/icon_twisted.gif" alt=":>" class="middle" border="0">evil companies<img src="/img/smilies/icon_twisted.gif" alt=":>" class="middle" border="0"> who sell tissues & allergy medication inorder to make even more money at our expense.
One good thing about the extended cold weather is that my hayfever didn't start until now, it normally starts in at the end of March & lasts until the end of August (approx 22 weeks) i go through 1 box of tissues (30p a box) in a week, which meens i spend (where is my calculator?) £6.60 extra on tissues every year add to that the Hayfever tables (they stop all symptoms except the running nose)£21.56 (98p for a weeks supply) making the grand total of £28.16. I'm not sure how many people suffer from hayfever but even if it was only 10,000 people that would be £281,600.00 a year.

However when i was in OZ (during their summer) i took a load of hayfever tablets with me but didn't need them, seems like i'm allergic to the pollen in my own county but not OZ's, why's that?

it sounds corny but i would say a good personality. it doesn't matter how good looking a woman is, if there's nothing inside it's not going to last.
5) You have started your own TV company what is the format of your four top peak viewing time programmes.
Sit-com, Soap, Documentary & Drama

Because of the bank hoildays i'm not at work & i have to keep reminding myself what day of the week it is. 4 days off work sound good in theory but after 2 i start getting really bored!! Add to the boredom the fact that i feel sick from eating too many chocolates (I know being 27 i should be able to tell when to stop eating chocolates, but for some reason i can't. perhaps this is because i'm more of a savery person & can eat loads of toast or crisps & think i can do the same with sweets. but sure enough 2mins' after finishing them i realise i've crossed the line 10mins' ago).
i find myself walking around my flat moaning that i'm bored & looking up at my books, thinking about reading one (but i've read them all so often that i start one realise i remember it & give up- can't go out & buy some more due to lack of funds & it's F<img src="/img/smilies/icon_censored.gif" alt=">:XX" class="middle" border="0">g easter bank hoilday so every shop is shut anyway) suppose i could go back to trawling through the web for things to read or do the washing up. i best decide soon or i might piss my girlfriend off so much she'll end up stabbing me. I'm ALMOST looking forward to work tomorrow, no wait a minute it's monday tomorrow GOD i've still got another day after today to waste.

WOO-HOO finally got around to putting a picture on my blog - yes I know it's easy but I'm new to this blogging lark!
This is my favourite old photo. I've had to do a bit of editing as my friend would probably cut my Bl<img src="/img/smilies/icon_censored.gif" alt=">:XX" class="middle" border="0">ks off if she saw the unedited photo on the web.
You can just make out my friend's DIY haircut. She cut her hair in a show of solidarity as another girl in our class cut my hair during a lesson. That way I would not be the only kid being teased. By the time this photo was taking my hairdresser had salvaged my do!
This photo was taken about 20 years ago (can you believe we're still close friends all these years later!). She'd probably do the same thing again today if she really had to - although these days she might wear a wig/hat to cover the damage!<img src="/img/smilies/icon_mrgreen.gif" alt=":>>" class="middle" border="0">

I work for BT
(opps i shoud say OPENREACH now! has anyone heard of them?) installing & repairing phone lines so spend a lot of time during the day outside. I've just got in after a hard days work & I'm soaked through (my toes are wrinkly, looks like I've got trench foot) OK being April you expect the rain. But it is so COLD it feels like winter still, makes you kinda look forward to global warming (joke!) roll on summer<img src="/img/smilies/icon_mrgreen.gif" alt=":>>" class="middle" border="0">.
If it wasn't bad enough that the environment is going down the crapper, it looks like todays youth is too (GOD! I sound so OLD!). While I was up a Telegraph pole in the freezing drizzle fixing a phone line (obviously... I wasn't up there for the fun of it) when I heard a loud crash behind me, turning around I could see 3 kids (no more than 10 years old) kicking & pulling someone's back fence down. An old man shouted from a window at them & they gave him the finger & only ran off when he said he was calling the police!?! It's the mindlessness of it that really gets to me . I was no angel when I was a kid but I didn't go around pointlessly destroying other peoples stuff. Even if I was REALLY BORED!!! Still that's enough Ranting for now or I'll start sounding like a grumpy old man (too late)

I had to work today, it's the 1st time since i can remember that i've not been able to book it off work. I got up late, opened the Cards that i had got (my girlfriend hides them as they come through the post & gives them all to me on my birthday cos if she didn't i'd open them all before my birthday & she doesn't think thats right!?!)My Girlfriend got me a Mini- fruit cake (yum!). Then rushed out to work, which is when the Shit hit the Fan, i was one of those days when SOD'S law seems to take an unheathly interest in you. What could go wrong did & i rushed around like a blue arsed fly intill finally finishing late at 6:00PM (i'm meant to finish a 4:00). Well at least i can have my birthday dinner KFC & a whole tub of Ben & Jerry's.
What age should you be when you start mourning your birthdays instead of celebrating them? surely 27 is too early?

Don't really know what to write at the moment - I am sure that I will think of plenty of things to write in due course....
I guess I should introduce myself. I'm Rob. I live on the outskirts of London with my girlfriend (aka purple-chick), 2 hamsters and an incredibly large fish!
My girlfriend started a blog on Friday whilst I was having a kip on the sofa. She won't let me read it until my birthday on Tuesday. I might have a sneaky peek when she's not looking but am worried that I might have to fake surprise on my birthday. I'm not the best of actors & my girlfriend seems to have a psychic ability to read my mind.
Anyway, that's all for now. Will write another entry when some inspriration arrives.

PS - interesting fact - to the best of mankind's knowledge granite doesn't exist on any other planet in the solar system.
